How I Started My First Veggie Day

Rabbit Food?

You'll never believe me. :p On my first unofficial official day, Chris took me out to lunch! Sweet, huh? I love 'em. :) We went to this great little place we LOVE. You might have heard about it, Taco Bell?

YES!! Taco Bell!! It sounds like the lowest common denominator, but I guess it's our guilty pleasure. Crunchy, cheesy, and meaty/beany deliciousness. :)

I did a lot of research, but you can eat quiet well as a veggie there. :) I like the bean burrito (no red sauce, just preference) and a "six layer" Seven Layer (hold the sour cream) burrito. Certainly enough for a big appetite! I had a bite or two for Chris to sample. :p

Note: Today, 8/10/2014, we went out for a Saturday night treat to Yogurt Mountain. They have great transparency about their ingredients on their website. I enjoyed a cup of orange sorbet topped with some fresh fruit. Yummy. We took Lana along and she got a little sundae too. :) I gave her a little squirt of plain yogurt, a sprinkle of peanuts, one Nilla Waifer cookies, and a small real honey drizzle. All that and a BOGO coupon for about $7! :) BEING A VEGGIE DOESN'T MEAN YOU HIDE AT HOME EATING BEANS OR TOFU NUGGESTS OVER YOUR DESK AT WORK! :)

Here are some other places and meal ideas from Peta "Eating Vegan at Fast  Food Chain Restaurants":

*This link has lots of places, but I only listed places we have around here. I actually haven't heard of a lot of them! lol :)

Arby's- baked potato and side salad with Italian dressing

Bruegger's Bagels- Lots of stuff! Most bagels and for vegan go sans cream cheese and get hummus. The article says "lots of vegetarian sandwiches you can make vegan by leaving off the cheese and dressings." Since I'm ok with fish, I enjoy their smoked salmon bagel. The salt bagel is a great paring.

Burger King- BK Veggie burger. 'Nuf said. :)

Cheeburger Cheeburger- Grilled Portobello mushroom or Boca burger. Yum!

Chili's- Start with tostada chips and salsa, followed by veggie quesadilla (replacing cheese & sour cream for extra veggies for vegan), or Cadillac Fajitas- without meat of course. ;)

Chipotle- I have never been to Chipotle, but we have two now! I'll let you know. :) Check the link for items, there are a lot!!

Little Ceasars, Papa John's, Pizza Hut, all use vegan dough and base sauce. Add cheese if desire and load on the veggies!

Ruby Tuesday's- Endless Fresh Garden Bar. I know they have plenty of beans, bean salads, eggs, and even edamame for protein. Of course lots of great raw, sliced veggies and greens for crisp salads.

Other places -Denny's, Moe's, Panera Bread, and P.F. Chang's- have SO many options give them a look!

Man, now I'm hungry!!
