God? Is it really too much to ask? BTW, this has no relevance to this post. lol
I love emoticons... lol. :)
So, I thought it would be best to
kick of this sparkly new blog by telling you about MYSELF a bit and my goals
for my blog:
"Welcome!
I love visitors! Blogging alone is boring... :) This blog does and does NOT
have a purpose. :) Please join me on my journey into a lifestyle somewhere
vegetarianism and veganism. I plan on posting once a week. General topics will
be: recipe reviews, information that caught my attention, good ideas &
belly flops, and more! It is NOT to a blog to gross, shame, or guilt you into
anything. Neither is this blog only for veggies! Who says awesome food that
happens to be meat free is only for "us"?"
Why? People always want to know right? I MIGHT ask the next person I see eating chicken nachos
that question. ;) Again, or me it’s complicated. I love animals, but must
people do right? J
For me it’s sort of from a strange angle. In the Bible, God* told us we have dominion
over all animals on the earth and in the seas. He also said to care for them. I
vehemently disgraced by factory farming.
THAT is not what I
feel God intended and so, my conscious will not let me support it with my
money. Right now I consume do dairy and
egg products. Once fully settled into the glamorous life of vegetarian meal
planning and life, I’m thinking about trying veganism if I cannot source/afford
local eggs & milk from happy cows and chickens. J I am ok with occasionally
consuming wild caught sustainable fish and seafood.
Like I said in my intro, this is about my journey. J I hope you come along,
even if it’s with your baloney sandwich. Hmm….. are we sure there IS ACTUALLY meat in
there? Lol!
*I have an excellent article-on my phone :-/ - discussing
the position of vegetarianism and diet from the time of the early church and
today. I will a.) make a small post explaining why II posted it and reconnect
both the direct and blog post link here when completed. If you just can’t wait,
google “Christians and vegetarianism”. Pretty cool stuff. J
Make sure you're not wearing clothes of mixed fibers, while you're at it. :P
ReplyDeleteWhat would mixed fibers be considered? Like animal fibers such wool and the like? I can't afford leather anyways! Lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip and stopping by!
